Orleans:

The bedroom community of Orleans is made up of a collection of tight nit neighbourhoods connected with loads of green space and trails with a small area of houses built from 1950 to 1970 and other areas with the concrete foundation just poured this week with the happy owners only moving in 4 months. Orleans is by far the area of Ottawa with the highest sector of French speaking families. Walking into any of the many services, shops and mall stores one will be greeted by a 'bonjour' with the greating person switching to English the second they hear your terrible return bonjour!

Orleans boasts a multitude of state of the art recreation facilities, parks, shopping with the huge Place D’Orleans Mall and all the new home services and huge grocery stores on Innes Rd. Families move to Orleans for the top notch elementary and secondary schools both in English, and French, or French emersion, Catholic or not. The area is serviced by what was voted as North America’s #1 bus transit system offering residents easy commute to the downtown on their neighbourhood express bus. With almost 150,000 residents, Orleans is a popular area to call home!

Blackburn Hamlet

A Hamlet is a perfect description of this area which is totally surrounded by The National Capital Greenbelt with load of trails to enjoy plus the soccer fields on the west side off of Bearbroook Road. Most of the area is comprised of 20 plus year residents with a large number of “Blackburn lifers,” nobody really leaves Blackburn Hamlet. The area was mostly constructed from 1976 to 1980 and is fully spent land wise with the odd little sections offering 6 to 12 new town homes every now and again.

This area offers homes with large, mature treed lots. Another great place to settle in and make memories!
